| Additional Information: | Text mainly in Jawi with some Arabic, some words written in rubric, handwriting mainly in book hand with quick hand influence, no decoration or illumination. The subject of the kitab is mainly relating to the principles of tawhid and kalam. It explains the core beliefs that define a Muslim’s faith, including the oneness of God, the attributes of Allah, prophecy, and the afterlife, text complete. Probably this manuscript was written in the 2nd half of 18th or 1st half of 19th century AD. For further information on the three crescents watermark please refer to MAL 003. According to Oman, there is a possibility that there are 3 versions of the kitab in existence (Ref: Katalog Naskah Dayah Tanoh Abee, 2010: 74-75). |
